Simpsons Prints May 2023 [Columbia, MO] I took a film studies course at Mizzou that focused on The Simpsons. For our final, we were tasked with a creative project that paralleled a topic or theme covered in the course related to The Simpsons.

I did a series of screenprints that explored themes of internet culture, parody, accessibility, overconsumption, commercialization, and American culture as a whole. Drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol's iconic style, I produced prints featuring modern-day cultural figures Lady Gaga and Snooki, in repeated rows of colored prints. I also did prints of vapes and Homer Simpson, juxtaposing them as modern-day consumer symbols, like Warhol's depictions of Campbell’s Soup cans and Coke bottles. These works reflect the constant yet changing presence of mass-produced cultural icons in today’s society. I did 32 prints in total.
